Our clients approached us with a clear vision – to create a warm and inviting space that would serve as the heart of their family beach weekends. The challenge was formidable, as the property lacked access roads or footpaths. Everything had to be transported from the main beach car park via digger and trailer. Nevertheless, we were determined to turn this vision into a reality.
To capture the essence of seaside living, we opted for a design that embraced the coastal environment. Fumed Eucalyptus cabinets were chosen to infuse warmth into the space, while sandy-coloured floor tiles complemented the Primordia worktops. These worktops, with their concrete-like finish, rustic red accents, and delicate yellow undertones, seamlessly integrated with the sandy beach surroundings.
The kitchen, dining, and living areas were designed as an open-concept space that opens onto a beachfront deck. This versatile area serves as a hub for family cooking, entertaining, and relaxation. It’s a space where cherished memories are created.
In addition to the kitchen, Portrait Kitchens provided all the cabinetry for the living space. This included a charming corner banquette seating area and a striking feature fireplace with a hidden TV concealed behind sliding doors.
